A dear friend invited me to try “La Crème de la Crème” in Hong Kong: the Peninsula Spa and Wellness. From the moment I stepped into the facility, the attention to every detail was outstanding making it a real wellness retreat. The personalized treatment came with all the right comfort amenities. To mention a few: Peninsula-signature soft sandal, pure cotton bathrobes, Evian water, fresh fruits and smoothies. Once ready to go, the attendant escorted me to the Spa located on the 7th floor where I was about to avail my treatment. The most relaxing part was definitely the hydrotherapy area: sauna, steam room, rain shower with cromo-therapy. Still, what really caught my attention in the facility was the advanced technology of the comfy bed in the rest area, which provided the option to personalize the music. This was definitely a plus. After de-stressing for an hour, I moved on to the massage therapy. The treatment used aromatic body oils inclusive of Rose, Geranium and Frankincense, which transmitted very soothing and restful sensations throughout the massage. The only shortcoming of the Spa visit was the untimely interruption by the therapist, who did not wait until I was out of my bed to show me the list of products to buy. Despite this small hiccup, I wouldn’t mind be invited to this Spa again!
