CHI THE SPA - Boracay - Philippines

A destination SPA located in one of the most beautiful islands of the Philippines. The Chi Spa at Shangri La Resort really went beyond my expectations with its exceptional service. Once I entered the Spa, the receptionist offered me warm tea and a refreshing towel. She invited me to use the Spa pool and Jacuzzi before my treatment, an area surrounded by soft music and a calming atmosphere. At Chi, I was swayed to try a locally inspired body scrub, a treatment incorporating edible local ingredients like pure Kalinga* rice and coconut milk. Although I am more of a massage person, the proposition of having my skin smoothed and rejuvenated by rice was very tempting. The scrub mix was applied all over my body accompanied by relaxing and invigorating strokes focusing on the areas needed most attention (elbows, back, knees). The treatment concluded with a warm shower surrounded by flowers.
